Role Purpose

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will support Gumtree users through email and live chat, assisting with account access, listings, payments, disputes, and general platform queries. You will play a key role in delivering fast, accurate, and empathetic support while maintaining a positive customer experience and protecting the Gumtree brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer queries via email and live chat
• Assist users with account access, listings, payments, disputes, and general platform support
• Use Salesforce and other support tools to manage and document customer cases
• Follow approved SOPs, knowledge articles, quality standards, and escalation processes
• Escalate complex or sensitive cases appropriately
• Maintain clear, professional written communication aligned with the Gumtree brand
• Protect customer information and adhere to GDPR and data protection requirements
• Identify recurring customer issues and share insights with Team Leaders and Support Teams

• Excellent written English with strong grammar and communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
• Comfortable using CRM and case management systems
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions accurately and efficiently
• Reliable, resilient, and quality-driven

Preferred Experience

• Customer service experience within email, chat, or digital support environments
• Experience supporting marketplace, e-commerce, classifieds, or online platforms
• Salesforce experience is advantageous
• Experience handling complaints, disputes, or account-related queries
